The mission of Communities In Schools (CIS) in Texas is to ensure that students have access to a supportive environment, enabling them to stay in school and reach their full potential. CIS of Central Texas works with more than 50,000 students and families each year, providing full-time staff on elementary, middle and high school campuses to keep children in school, provide academic support, and advise students and their families. Central Texas College (CTC) offers the convenience and flexibility of a community college, as well as global reach through distance learning and nearly 100 locations in or near military facilities. Without community support, children throughout Central Texas are at risk of missing school, dropping out and not earning a high school diploma.
